Claw Machine

One afternoon, I was waiting for a plane in the Harlingen, Texas, airport where I spied this claw machine in the airports arcade. Almost instantly, I knew I had to paint it due to the light dancing on these quality stuffed toys. The fact that I had just been blessed with my first grandchild also was an influence, I am sure. But the appeal of the subject also had something to do with a civilization in a box, the claw machine's own toy world.
