This large watercolor painting was a joy to accomplish. Every moment of painting was flooded with pleasant memories of a day with my son, one of those days so rare now that he shoulders adulthood, a wife with child, a career with responsibilities and an aging Dad. For that day my son was wholy mine, like when he was young wanting to know why cowboys ate spinich. If you look closely, he stands on the jetty taking a photograph of the surging surf against its supporting sky.
