This creek, like many in the Hill Country, bustles along in Salado's town park. The beautiful colors in an eddy intrigued me and inspired this painting two years after actually viewing it.

| Couple of Summers ago, I spent several days in Salado, Texas, North of Austin. This small town lies in an area that I call the beginning of Texas' Hill Country. The land is not quite hilly or lush with Texas vegetation yet but the unique feel of the Hill Country has begun.
