On a trip to Waxahachi, Texas, last summer I did research for a large oil painting, Ferguson's Grocery. While there however the raw Texas beauty of the area continually fought for my attention.
One afternoon, I walked this creek which runs through the near downtown park. It was a beautiful sun lit day and the sunlight on the water filtered through the trees was overwhelming.
