Original watercolor, 37" x 29".

Cotton and Texas were synonymous for decades, even into the '50s when I was a boy. In my college years, many of my friends worked their way through school in high-paying cotton gin jobs.

No more. This abandoned CGC Gin in Huto, Texas, symbolizes the decline of that industry, a fading economic reality in our changing Texas.
